Plans & billing

What you pay Sublyra, how it's charged through Shopify, and how to switch or cancel

1. The four plans

Every plan includes the product page widget, the customer portal, selling plans & subscribe-and-save, and core analytics. Retention tools arrive at Starter — churn tools are the reason to pick Sublyra, not an upsell.

2. How you're charged

Your Sublyra bill has two parts, both handled by Shopify's own billing — charges appear on your Shopify invoice, and you approve each new charge on Shopify's own screen:

Behind the scenes the flow is exactly what Shopify designed:

1 You pick a plan; the app calls Shopify's Billing API.

2 Shopify shows its own approval screen; you confirm there.

3 Shopify redirects back with the charge active and bills every 30 days (or yearly, if you chose that).

Read the estimate, not the sticker. Each plan card on the Plan & billing page shows what your store would pay on that plan, computed from your real order volume — plus the effective rate (blended cost as a share of revenue processed), the only honest way to compare plans. The cheapest plan changes as you grow: a higher monthly fee with a lower percentage wins past a crossover the page calculates for you.

3. Monthly vs yearly

The Monthly / Yearly toggle on the Plan & billing page switches how you're billed:

4. Add-ons

Don't need a full upgrade? Add individual features to any plan for $9.99–$19.99/mo each:

Cancellation flows$9.99/moSave offers and reasons when subscribers try to cancel
Smart retries & dunning$9.99/moRetry schedules and card-update emails for failed renewals

5. Switching plans

1 Open Sublyra admin → Settings → Plan & billing.

2 Pick Monthly or Yearly, compare the per-store estimates, and click Switch to [plan].

3 Approve the new charge on Shopify's confirmation screen.

4 Shopify redirects back; the new plan activates and the old plan's charge is cancelled. Any add-ons now included in your new plan are cancelled too — the page tells you how many.

Changed your mind at the approval screen? Declining or closing it leaves everything exactly as it was — the page shows "The charge was not completed — nothing changed."

6. Cancelling

There is no cancellation fee and no notice period:

Your subscribers' contracts are Shopify objects — they exist independently of your plan. Downgrading changes which Sublyra features you can use, not whether existing subscribers get billed.

7. FAQ

When does the 30-day trial start?

When you approve your first paid plan charge on Shopify's screen. Launch has no trial because it has no monthly fee.

What counts as a "subscription transaction"?

A successful subscription charge — the checkout order that starts a subscription and each renewal after it. One-time purchases aren't charged usage fees.

What happens if I outgrow my subscriber cap?

The Plan & billing page flags estimates that exceed a plan's cap, so you'll see it coming. Upgrade to the next tier — the per-store estimate shows whether the lower usage rate already makes it cheaper.

Do you take a cut of one-time sales?

No. Usage fees apply to subscription transactions only.
