1. What this page does
Tags are how the rest of your store recognises a subscription. Order tags drive fulfilment rules, order filtering and analytics; customer tags keep your segments in step with each subscriber's status. The same settings page also creates a dedicated Shopify delivery profile so subscribers can get free or flat-rate shipping.
Where to find it: Sublyra admin → Settings → Tags & shipping.
4. The subscription shipping profile
Sublyra can create a dedicated Shopify delivery profile called "Sublyra Subscriptions" so subscribers get free or reduced shipping on their recurring orders.
1 In the Subscription shipping card, choose the rate: tick Free shipping for subscribers, or leave it unticked and enter a flat rate (in your shop currency, charged per subscription order).
2 Click Create shipping profile. Sublyra creates the delivery profile in Shopify for you. If the profile already exists, the button reads Recheck shipping profile and simply confirms it is active.
3 Assign your subscription products to the profile: in Shopify admin, go to Settings → Shipping and delivery, open the "Sublyra Subscriptions" profile and add the products. Sublyra creates the profile; which products it covers is a Shopify-side choice that stays with you.
read_shipping/write_shipping. If saving reports missing permissions or an access-denied error, use the Grant access banner on the page and try again.
5. Permissions these features need
| Feature | Shopify permission |
|---|---|
| Order tags | Core order access — granted at install |
| Customer status tags | write_customers |
| Subscription shipping profile | read_shipping / write_shipping |
Sublyra asks for everything it needs on the single consent screen at install time. Stores that installed before a permission was added see an amber banner with a Grant access button the first time they open the page that needs it — one click takes them to the same Shopify approval screen.
6. FAQ
Do tag changes apply to old orders?
No. Rules apply to orders and status changes from the moment you save. The confirmation message says exactly that: "They apply to new orders and status changes from now on."
Can I use the tags in Shopify Flow or my email platform?
Yes — they are ordinary Shopify order and customer tags. Anything that can filter by tag (Shopify admin segments, Flow, Klaviyo, Mailchimp) can use them.
What happens to the tags when a subscriber cancels?
The status tag swaps to your canceled tag. The subscriber tag (default Sublyra Subscriber) stays on, so you can still reach everyone who ever subscribed — for a win-back campaign, for example.
Does the shipping profile affect one-time purchases?
The profile is a normal Shopify delivery profile. It rates whatever products you assign to it — so assign only your subscription products if the special rate is meant for subscribers.
